I read those two pages at the Blackboard, I learned a lot about the definition of keywords, refining a search, identifying search terms. In detail, keywords are main words of books, articles, and web pages and so on. They are simple and not complex. We can use keywords to find out all information what we want to know and obtain. Therefore, keywords are very important for us. Refining a search means reducing the number of words and summarizing the initial information from searches. From the second page, I learned the ways how to develop search and how to choose a topic.
The keywords of my last journal are "famous successful CEOs", famous successful corporate managers" and "Microsoft". I found some information about famous sucessful CEOs. Many web pages talk about their lives, stories, experience and so on. In sum, all results talks the informations all about those famous corporate in the world. (URl: www.evancarmichael.com/) The second search is "Microsoft". I found the introduction about the microsoft corporation in the Mikipedia that is a online library. I knew the issue that Microsoft met, the news for Microsoft, what they would do in the future.(URL: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microsoft) I think these keywords are very useful because they could help me understand the information from the internet and I can let reader know what I want to talk when they read my journal.
Refine my search:
For three decades, Microsoft has made its money to building software that was purchased and then installed on people's personal computer. However, facing challenges from other internet companies such as eBay, Microsoft will begin developing a "next-generation internet services platform" to deliver products, such as via the internet and internet-based advertising. In term of Microsoft's need to change its business model, chief software architect Ray Ozzie said:"It is claer that if we fail to do so, our business as we know it is at risk. We must respond quickly and decisiverly."
