Week 12 journal
I have learned lots of information about Microsoft Corporation. First, I have learned the history of Microsoft’s business model can be divided 3 periods of 35 years. Second, I have learned Microsoft’s innovation culture. What is Microsoft’s innovation culture, and why Microsoft can keep innovation during development. What are Microsoft’s five challenges now. Finally, I have known Microsoft’s low price strategy in the world. I have learned the reason of Microsoft reduced products’ price in China.
I want to tell readers Microsoft’s future business plans. Microsoft wants to invest many cost and resources into the search market in the five years. Microsoft’s CEO Steve Ballmer said on the 17th, June, 2009, the next five years, Microsoft plans to invest 5-10 percent of operating income into the search market.

My week 11 journal
I want to include my podcast in the end part of the webtext, that is “Price strategy in China”. I want to add podcast in the behind of this part because the podcast can explain details about this point and audience can easy to understand information. I want to include my slideshow into the “Microsoft’s innovation” part of my webtext. I talks Microsoft have many internal and external challenges in the first paragraph in this part; therefore, I think I can use my slideshow to inform and explain my ideas about this point. I think my thesis, audience are still relevant to my webtext, even though I add my podcast and slideshow into my webtext. Purpose was changed. Thesis was not changed because my main idea was not changed; and then I just add podcast and slideshow to explain my branches point of my maid ideas. My audience is still non-specialists, (undergraduate students they are studying business or computer), because my main idea and topic did not change. My new purpose is let audience know what is Microsoft Corporation’s advanced business model, what is the price strategy in China and Microsoft’s innovation culture, and that let audience know more information about Microsoft’ competitions.

Journal 9
My topic for my slideshow is challenges Microsoft faces today. I want to talk about five challenges from others companies and internal of Microsoft company. The first challenge is from Apple Company. Although many people thought that Apple's Mac OS X would not become mainstream, but when Vista was defeated Apple's won a lot of market share. The second challenge is to ensure that the current momentum of Windows 7. Even though Vista was a bad operating system for many customers in last two years, Window 7 was accepted by almost all customers. The third is open source. From the Ubuntu operating system to the Firefox browser, these communities provide a lot of very useful and free choice to computer uses; they developed a direct threat to Microsoft. The forth is Google. Google is developing faster and faster. The fifth is tree attracts the wind. It means Microsoft is the No 1 in computer software system market; many competitors want to defeat Microsoft Company. Therefore, those companies can try to seize Microsoft’s status.
I think I can put this slideshow into the part that is innovation of Microsoft in my webtext because I talk that the reason of Microsoft keep innovation is challenges from internal and external of Microsoft.
These images can let audience be easy to understand my maid ideas, and audience can find sources from internet
